Programs can run from 4 to 6 weeks depending on your schools schedule.

scratch programming (grades k - 12)

Do you like to play computer games?  Do you wonder how computer games are made?  In this class students will design several computer games.  Games will be programmed in the programming language SCRATCH

SCRATCH is a block based programming language developed by M.I.T.  Students can drag and drop command blocks into place, instead of typing commands.  This makes SCRATCH and excellent first programming language.

NO PRIOR PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

scratch physical computing (grades 4 - 12)

THIS SESSION REQUIRES IT BE RUN IN A COMPUTER ROOM.  CHROMEBOOKS WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS SESSION

Have you ever wanted to build our own motion sensor or wondered how one works?  In this class students will write programs, make circuits using a Raspberry Pi along with several sensors to interact with the physical world.  Students will write programs using the programming language SCRATCH.

Python programming

Python is a widely popular text based computer language.  It is a powerful language that can be used to create more complex programs than SCRATCH.  Students will design games, while learning about variables, loops, computational thinking and design thinking.

NO PRIOR PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
